I am Latasha, a single mama-ing, Harley-riding, outdoor-exploring, poetry-loving boy mom, daughter, sister, and friend.
Born in Petersburg, VA and raised slightly further north up I-95 in Chesterfield, VA, I believe that home is where you tie your boots. Leaving home at 18 years old to enlist in the U.S. Air Force, I have worn boots in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Ramstein & Sembach, Germany; Altus & Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and multiple cities in Maryland.
One of my grandfather’s favorite songs to hear & live by included the words: “if I can help someone as I travel along, if I can help someone with a word a song, if I can help somebody from doing wrong, then my living shall not be in vain”. My passion is to continue walking in my purpose according to God’s word, so my living is not in vain. I was born with a heart to serve and share a smile, light, & love as I travel along. With a servant heart, I serve God, my country, those in need, and those around me.
I’m a U.S. Air Force veteran, U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps Officer, hold a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management (Southern Illinois University Carbondale) and Dental Hygiene (Virginia Commonwealth University).
I invest my time creating moments with my (slightly more) energetic son, Micah…always, ride my motorcycle…when I can, and creating memories for others…as an independent travel advisor, expressing my thoughts through putting pen to paper, amateur photography, and outdoor activities…when timing, mood and weather is appropriate.
